Identity Verification and Anti-Money Laundering Rules
This policy explains how 24 Casino verifies customers, manages account checks and responds to activity that may involve fraud, money laundering or other unlawful use of the platform.
The procedures apply during registration and throughout the lifetime of an account. Additional information may be requested when required by law, regulation or an internal risk review.
Why Verification Is Required
Identity checks help confirm that an account belongs to the person who created it, that the customer meets the applicable age requirement and that payments are made from legitimate sources.
Verification also helps prevent account misuse, duplicate registrations, fraud and the movement of funds connected to illegal activity.
Locations Where Registration Is Not Available
24 Casino does not accept customers from countries or regions where online gambling is prohibited or restricted by law.
Customers must provide their correct country of residence during registration. Proof of residence or current location may be requested at any stage.
An account may be blocked or closed if the customer is located in a restricted jurisdiction, uses false location information or attempts to avoid geographic controls. Funds connected to a breach may be handled according to the applicable account terms and legal requirements.
Information Needed to Open an Account
Each customer must register personally and provide accurate information. Registration on behalf of another person is not permitted.
The following details or documents may be requested:
- First and last name.
- Date of birth.
- Full residential address.
- A valid passport, identity card or other government-issued document.
- A recent document confirming the residential address, such as a utility bill or bank statement.
- Any additional information needed to confirm identity, age or account ownership.
The account may be restricted while requested information is being reviewed. Access will be restored only when the verification process has been completed to the required standard.
Age Checks
Customers must be at least 18 years old or meet the higher legal gambling age that applies in their jurisdiction.
If age cannot be confirmed, the account may be suspended until suitable documents are provided.
Where a customer is found to be underage, the account will be closed. Transactions may be reversed where possible, deposited funds will be handled according to the applicable policy and any winnings obtained while underage may be cancelled.
Additional Checks for Higher-Risk Accounts
Some accounts require a more detailed review. This process is known as enhanced due diligence.
Additional checks may be applied when:
- The customer is rated as higher risk based on residence, occupation or other relevant factors.
- Deposits or withdrawals are unusually large.
- Transaction activity does not match the known customer profile.
- Funds move into and out of the account unusually quickly.
- The ownership or control of the funds is unclear or complex.
Enhanced checks may include additional identity documents, confirmation of financial activity, sanctions screening, public-record checks and continued monitoring of account use.
Politically Exposed Persons
Politically exposed persons, their close family members and known associates may be subject to additional review because of the increased financial crime risks associated with certain public roles.
These checks may include:
- Extended identity verification.
- Review of the source of funds and source of wealth.
- Approval from senior management before an account relationship begins or continues.
- Closer monitoring of transactions and account activity.
Monitoring Payments and Account Activity
Transactions may be reviewed according to their amount, frequency, timing and overall pattern.
A review may be opened where:
- A single transaction or several connected transactions exceed an internal threshold.
- Activity differs significantly from the customer’s usual account behaviour.
- Funds are deposited and withdrawn with little or no genuine gaming activity.
- The purpose or origin of a transaction is unclear.
Transactions may be delayed while a review is in progress. Where required by law, suspicious activity may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Source of Funds and Source of Wealth
24 Casino may ask a customer to explain where deposited money came from or how their overall wealth was obtained.
This may be required for higher-risk accounts, politically exposed persons, large transactions or activity that does not match the customer’s known profile.
Supporting documents may include:
- Bank statements.
- Payslips or employment records.
- Tax documents.
- Business ownership records.
- Sale agreements or investment statements.
- Other records that reasonably explain the origin of the funds.
The documents requested will depend on the circumstances of the account and the type of transaction under review.
Incorrect or Misleading Details
Customers must keep their account information accurate and up to date.
If information or documents are found to be false, incomplete, altered or misleading, 24 Casino may suspend or close the account, cancel affected transactions and take any further action required under the account terms or applicable law.
Time Needed to Review Documents
KYC documents are normally reviewed within 30 working days after all requested information has been received.
The review period may begin again if further documents are required or if the submitted files are incomplete, unclear or no longer valid.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers should provide clear, current and genuine documents and respond to verification requests within the stated period.
Failure to complete the required checks may result in limits being placed on deposits, withdrawals, gameplay or access to the account.
Policy Updates
These procedures may be updated to reflect changes in law, regulatory requirements, payment rules or internal risk controls.
The current version of the policy applies whenever an account or transaction is reviewed.
